CQT welcomes its Scientific Advisory Board

Six distinguished scientists spend a week at CQT for their annual review of the Centre's research direction.
22 August 2012

This week's visit to the Centre for Quantum Technologies by its Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) involves a lot of conversation over coffee. The coffee fuels the week's serious purpose: for the SAB to review and provide advice on the Centre's scientific direction. CQT is honoured to host the distinguished members of its board. Welcome!

All but one of CQT's seven-strong Scientific Advisory Board are visiting this year. Pictured in the back row (left to right) are Christophe Salomon, Dave Wineland and Ignacio Cirac. In the front are Atac Imamoglu, Artur Ekert, Michele Mosca and Umesh Vazirani. CQT offers a particular welcome to Christophe Salomon, who is making his first visit to the Centre after joining the advisory board in late 2011.

After a week of presentations, poster sessions and interviews with CQT researchers, the SAB will prepare a report about the Centre's achievements and areas on which to focus. Comments from this report will be published in the Centre's annual report.
