The SpooQy Lab team of Alexander Ling works on the challenges of deployable quantum communications, and is looking for PhD candidates who are interested in developing the next generation of instruments.
Long-range entanglement distribution is a necessary ingredient for a global quantum network, and to achieve this deployable sources and detectors of entanglement are necessary. The SpooQy Lab team is working on various aspects of this problem, ranging from entanglement distribution over optical fiber to the deployment of space-based instrumentation.
The team is currently looking for talented and motivated researchers to fill several positions for PhD positions. Successful applicants may start at the earliest possible opportunity. The successful candidate will work in a multi-disciplinary team of scientists and engineers to study the science of entanglement distribution, and to co-develop the next generation of optical devices.
Interested candidates should provide evidence of training in quantum physics, or relevant technical fields. The necessary documentation include a CV, motivation letter, and contacts for 3 referees.
