An experimental post-doctoral researcher is sought to work at the Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT, National University of Singapore).
The successful candidate will work within an international consortium collaborating on a project hosted between CQT, the University of Oxford Dept. of Physics and the International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP). At CQT, the successful candidate will work with Dr Tristan Farrow and Manas Mukherjee.
The project has two aims: (i) to measure non-linear effects such as two-photon excitation/emission in low-dimensional condensed matter systems (ii) to generate single-photons from semiconductor quantum dots with a view to hybrid entanglement.
Essentials experimental experience
Time-resolved spectroscopy, single-photon measurements, use of single-frequency laser sources and of liquid Helium cryostats (continuous flow and bath).
Optical microcavity characterisation, numerical simulations of optical structures
