A strong background in quantum optics and of micro-photoluminescence spectroscopy techniques at cryogenic temperatures, and/or of single-molecule spectroscopy, in addition to an understanding of quantum physics.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, with a proven track record of experimental design and data analysis.
Experience with numerical modelling, such as of optical cavity QED, will be an advantage.
Applicants should hold a PhD in physics or physical chemistry or a closely related field.
The post is available initially for a fixed-term duration of 24 months, with the possibility of extension for a further 12 months.
